Mickey Strauss – President
In 2011 Mickey was recognized as one of the most influential people in the Green Industry throughout the United States by Landscape and Irrigation Magazine. With over 47 years of experience in all aspects of the construction and landscape business, Mickey was the previous owner of American Landscape Companies, Canoga Park for 34 years. Prior to starting American Landscape he worked for ValleyCrest Landscape, Inc. He has been involved in planning, estimating, purchasing and executing millions of dollars worth of projects. His experience in corporate finance and contract law is a complimentary balance to his many years as a field superintendent and on-site project coordinator. As a contractor, Mickey has an A-General Engineering, B-General Building, C27-Landscape Contractor, & C10 Concrete Contractor's license.

Mickey is an award-winning contractor who has served on numerous boards of landscape related organizations. He is a past President of the California Landscape and Irrigation Council, Inc. (CLIC), a past State President of the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) and past San Fernando Valley CLCA Chapter President, and served as President of the Greater Los Angeles Green Industry Council (LAGIC). Mickey currently serves on the Board of Directors of Golden Oak Co-Op Corp. (a green industry co-operative of landscape contractors) and Birch Financial Inc. (a finance company for the benefit of landscape contractors). In 2009, Mickey was inducted into the Green Industry Hall of Fame.


Sal Berumen – Vice President of Business Development
Over 30 years of Green Industry experience. Sal has worked for American Landscape Inc., Canoga Park and Valley Crest Landscape Development, Calabasas. He is adept at determining and meeting clients’ needs, starting from submitting complete and thorough bid proposals. He also knows how to ferret out concerns on plans that need interpretation, and how to clearly define the scope of work in a proposal that makes it easily understandable to all parties concerned.
